3:00pm: LAWNDALE
During their brief but prolific run in the mid 1980s, the all-instrumental LAWNDALE was a fixture on L.A.'s second wave punk scene. Playing a unique form of what has been described (possibly by a psychotic) as 'Surf-infused Psychedelic Melodic Acid-Prog', the band was fittingly dubbed "the Instrumental Gurus of the Church of the Electric Guitar" by the LA Weekly."...if you have any fondness for early '60s instrumentals ... and care to see it done superbly plus a demented tinge of Pink Floyd influence, this is the band" - Stone Age News
(Jack Skelley, Steve Housden, Dave Childs, Philo Van Duyne)

-Hailing from the Los Angeles underground of the 1980's, Savage Republic forged an astonishing reputation for themselves with their legendary performances. Their brand of ritualistically tribal exhibitions blurred the boundaries of Post-Punk and Industrial music. Alan Waddington, Kerry Dowling, Thom Fuhrmann, Ethan Port

5:00 pm: PHRANC -A veteran of the LA punk scene with bands Nervous Gender, Castration Squad and Catholic Discipline, she appeared in the Penelope Spheeris film The Decline of Western Civilization. The "All-American Jewish Lesbian Folksinger" played many acoustic shows to LA punks in the mid 80's, released 5 albums and opened for The Smiths, Violent Femmes and Billy Bragg. Don't miss this rare performance!
