RAE RAE JENSEN HOLIDAY SHOW

My name is Rae Rae Jensen

I was born and raised in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, by a family with a strong musical bond. My three sisters were also singers, ranging from a Motown signee, pop, to an electronica maven, but we were all inspired by our beautiful and talented mother, Mary Lou. Mama was an up-and-coming professional singer who was slated to record a soon-to-be country music classic, when she had to abruptly abandon her career to care for her four young daughters. She worked tirelessly for us day and night for years, and instilled in us her same dream of singing and performing at the highest level. Having grown up in this family of strong women singers, the entertainment business - and being on stage - has always felt like home to me. I’ve had the honor to share the stage with many of the greats, amazing musicians and artists spanning various genres. I have been featured on several popular songs, one being Uncle Kracker’s multi-platinum hit “Smile.“ I have recorded hundreds of songs, both for myself and for other artists as a session back-up singer. I travel back-and-forth regularly to Nashville for writing, sessions, and shows, and continue to perform on stages across the United States and throughout the world. In addition to being a vocalist, I am also a prolific songwriter. I have a catalog of at least 80 original songs (including collaborations). I love to write about inspiring moments, life‘s struggles, and learned experiences, and express them through my country rock band, Band Of Liars, and for solo Rae Rae projects. I have worked relentlessly to make my mark in the music Industry not only for myself, but also for my talented mother and sisters that were all so close to fame. Although I have accomplished so many wonderful things in my career I am proud of, I still want most of all to be the one to solidify my family’s legacy. I want to set the record straight before my mother leaves this world, take her by the hand, and tell her, “Mama, we did it. “ Thank you so much, Rae Rae
