High school best friends from Whittier High School. Started jamming together for fun became serious in 2016 and the rest is history.

Founded in 2016 by Guitarist & Composer, Connor Trietsch. For Wizards Only, name coined by Bassist & Co-Founder, Kevin Taylor, takes on a whole new perspective to the possibilities that music can offer. Music is a powerful piece of our entire humanistic experience and an important catalyst in culture and thought that can touch us in ways never thought possible by the material world. It can bring us together and tear us apart, pull us down to the deepest depths and then teleport us into another dimension that is vastly different than the previous. The images that music projects into your mind is what our music is created from. The emotion, the soul, the darkness, all of it is encompassed in our compositions. When this group was formed, it started off with one person and a vision to build a family that can change the world. First, it grew into four, then five, then 6 and finally, the community we know today. An ever-changing community that will keep growing and evolving until our time is up. To push the envelope further about the possibilities of music and art in this twisted reality we’ve cultivated. For Wizards Only is an era, a period of time, where time slows down and the music takes over, showing us the beauty and the deepest, darkest parts that life can shower you in.

Electric Magic is rooted in radio-friendly rock and roll…but what truly sets us apart is the diverse musical DNA each member brings to the table.

Danita draws inspiration from soulful rock storytellers like Stevie Nicks, Hall & Oates, and Bonnie Raitt.

Steve channels the power and precision of Foo Fighters, the complexity of Yes, and the expansive world of progressive rock.

Isaac’s influences range from the rhythmic finesse of The Police to the virtuosity of Rush, along with a deep appreciation for fusion jazz.

Dave brings the timeless grit of The Rolling Stones, the melodic brilliance of The Beatles, and a love for blues-driven folk rock.

Together, these distinct influences collide to create a dynamic and compelling sound that feels both familiar and fresh. There’s an undeniable chemistry within the band…an authentic connection that fuels our songwriting and electrifies our live performances.

While searching for a name that captured our spirit, we stumbled across a vintage 1970s concert poster for Led Zeppelin. The tour ‘The Electric Magic Tour’ featured circus performers sharing the stage, turning each show into a larger-than-life spectacle.

The phrase immediately struck a chord with us. “Electric Magic” felt vibrant, theatrical, and full of energy…exactly how we approach our music. For us, it’s about creating moments that feel alive, a little unexpected, and most importantly, fun. That sense of joy and shared experience is at the heart of everything we write and every stage we step onto.
