TARYN HAZE

In 2023, I was announced as the first ever Tagima "Future of Rock" endorsed artist by Marketing Executive Michael Yurkovic who is based out of the Tagima USA headquarters in Huntington Beach, California. I have been working closely with Michael and the owner of Tagima Ney Nakamura, helping to promote the Tagima brand. For the past two years, I have had mutiple opportunites to represent Tagima at the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) convention in Anaheim. This partnership opportunity has allowed me to not only showcase my guitar skills as an artist but also represent their reputable guitar brand.

In 2024, I was chosen to be a part of the Quilter Labs "Family of Artists." Quilter recognized my distinct guitar tone through the hard rock style of music that I play. I was asked by Marketing Director John Maze to visit the Costa Mesa headquarters where he had me test out the Quilter Overdrive 202 Guitar Amp. This amazing guitar amp has helped to enhance my overall sound. I am thrilled to represent such a reputable company of sound equipment and look forward to a continued partnership with Quilter.

My most recent endorsement has been with Schecter guitars. I have had the pleasure of working with Adam Murphy Director of Artist Relations at Schecter. Adam provided me with an incredible tour of the Schecter Headquarters located in Sun Valley California where I was able to view how their guitars were made. While visiting, I was given a brand new Sunburst Cali Classic guitar that I have been honored to play at some of my live gigs. I have also had the opportunity to utilize their beautiful showroom to create collaboration videos with other Schecter artists (Jennie Vee from Midnight Cowboys). I am beyond thankful that they have recognized my talent and I look forward to the journey as a Schecter endorsed artist.

THE NEW VINYL

The New Vinyl is a Southern California-based guitar-and-horn-powered Rock’n’Soul band, that has headlined and shared bills at festivals and clubs all over Southern California. TNV has opened for such national and regional blues greats as Kirk Fletcher, Sue Foley, Jason Ricci, Rick Holstrum, and Junior Watson on the Cadillac Zack Blues nights at the Maui Sugar Mill Saloon and Malainey’s Irish Bar. It was during one of their Monday night gigs at Maui that a new fan was heard saying with a grin, “I guess my weekends just got longer”, a sentiment shared by many that night who were surprised that TNV was not the headliner...

The TNV sound is a blend of their diverse musical influences and styles: Soul, Rock, Blues, and Americana. The five members of the band could be the musical godsons of Bobby Blue Bland, King Curtis, Delbert McClinton, Albert King, and Levon Helm. Having played together for the past seven years, they have each had much longer musical careers, separately and together: co-founder, vocalist, and guitarist/trumpet player Josh Rich has previously released the album “Where Do We Go From Here” under his own name, and has played with co-founder, vocalist, and drummer Pat Shoptaw in other bands; Pat and bassist Phil Serpico are former members of Lucksinger (and released the album of the same name), and occasionally lend their talents as a bass-drum duo to other bands in and around SoCal; Guitarist Alan Schwartz has recorded with Rock and Soul legends Little Richard and Irma Thomas, and brings a wide range of guitar styles to TNV; Tenor and alto sax player Manny Mendez is TNV's "Big Man", his tenor sound reminiscent of the great tenor players of the early Soul years. As The New Vinyl, they play straight from the gut, with a fire in their belly and joy in their heart. Armed with searing guitars, soulful horns, and a spirited rhythm section, they won’t rest until you are as energized and elated as they are!

Pat Shoptaw: Lead Vocals, Drums
